Meet amazing Brenda. Brenda is married with two sons and is someone who loves life.
Brenda was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in August 2021, but she refuses to be defined by the disease.
In the face of adversity and in confronting the enormity of her life-changing and life-shortening diagnosis, Brenda has chosen to never give up, and in doing so, she is actively participating in the MNDSA support services that will give her the best quality of life for as long as possible.
An MND diagnosis is typically accompanied by a 27-month prognosis, a devastating end date to contemplate. Research and anecdotal evidence have shown that by using all the allied health support services at the appropriate times, people living with MND can improve their quality of life with the time they have left, and this helps them to spend more time with their loved ones creating special memories.
